About.
Kate Saubestre is a French-American multimedia artist who was raised as a global nomad. Her shifting environments inform an evolving practice that examines how the natural and built worlds are represented through media and culture. Her background spans theater production, video, and visual art, including collaborations with musicians.
Working across experimental animation, textile painting, and prop-like sculpture, Saubestre weaves abstraction and storytelling into immersive, multidisciplinary environments. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design and her MFA program in Art at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has exhibited across California and is currently based in Carcassonne, France.
